Question on cross-referencing street address and business names: what are your concerns on using google street address API to map out the business addresses? It would probably the first direction I look but I can see it can be inaccurate compared to the city's licensing and permits data 🤔
Hey Joy! I looked briefly at using the google street address API but: a) using it is not really in my tech wheelhouse; I still have a lot to learn! and b) I worried about how it'd work in scenarios where there are multiple businesses at a single address — which is pretty common. It'd totally work to generate a map of all properties getting a tax break, which would be kind of neat in itself, though. There's potential there.
I hear you! Now that I look at it I can see that the street addresses will need to be cleaned up first before they can be run through google's API. I'll give it a whirl and see what comes out of it :)
